Projekktor is a free HTML5 based video- and audio- player written in Javascript. It solves cross browser and compatibility issues, offers flash fallback for ancient browsers, adds some eye candy and provides powerful non standard features. It is not necessarily required in order to provide native media but be aware: Once tried you will never want to miss this pleasing touch of comfortableness again.

The project´s long term goal is to build up a web based environment (front- and backend) where videos build the primary content lineup. Additional non-video content – like texts, links, images etc.pp. – is dynamically injected or made an overlay synchronous and contextual to the video display in order to build a rich media / media rich user experience.
